Tena Women Ultimate Protective Underwear

Posted by diaperworld on August 21, 2009

The Ultimate is only made for Women.  But there is a Super Plus for both genders that has a smaller skinner pad.  Though it is suppose to be for Women they fit well with room to create the pocket between your legs.  The pad is not high enough to have the penis pointed up, it will need to be pointed down otherwise you will have leaks.  They have an outer leg elastic along with inner leak guards, which work well.  They are thick enough to feel that you are in fact padded, but can easily be worn discreetly, they are silent under clothes.

The absorbency was more then expected for a pull up.  It took a flooding of about 16oz, though peeing a couple more oz made it leak at the front leg.  The pee went over the leak guard and the cloth on outer leg cuffs soaked right through.  So they are able to take a full flooding or last 3-4 hours if peeing in little amounts.  The pull up did a fairly good job of soaking up the pee not just in the front, but using some of the back also as it use about 2/3 from the front.

So it could be a good discreet diaper, when a full brief might not be able to be worn.  Also on hot days it can keep you protected while still keeping you cool.

Hopefully we can bring a site back like it as it was a very comprehensive list and review site of almost every diaper on the market.

These were bought early April 2009 in a green bag. Looking at the website it now shows white packaging, so it is not known if they changed them or just changed the packaging. First pulling them out of the package they are fluffy, but still thin compared to any quality diaper. They have a cloth like cover and are silent under clothes, making them very discreet. The tabs are velcro and hold even when pulled tight. They diapers themselves do not have any odor. After wetting they hold in the odor even after wearing for 4+ hours. They have a stay dry liner, but it is easily felt that it is wet even with the staydry liner.

They quickly soaked up all the pee flooded into the diaper. Here they probably took about 20-25 oz and probably can hold about 40 oz. So they will need be changed every 3-4 hours. The mediums come in a bag of 20 for around $13, making them .65 each. Assuming 5 changes a day this comes to $3.25. Comparing to Abena at $20 for 14 we can assume that on avg 2.5 diapers would be used giving a total of $3.58 a day. So it comes down to how often you will be able to change during the day as there is not a big difference in the price per day.
